Classes taught
GEOL 101 - Physical Geology
An introduction to the physical nature of the planet Earth. This course covers material from the genesis of rocks and minerals to their erosional process, to earthquakes and mountain building. This course has it all! Come check it out
GEOL 110T - Dinosaur World
An introduction to one of the most exciting topics in paleontology: Dinosaurs! In course we focus on such topics as the evolution of different dinosaur groups, how dinosaurs are related to modern birds, and of course their extinction. This course integrates labs, lectures and field trips.
GEOL 201 - Earth History
This course reviews the Earth’s physical and biological history as interpreted from rocks and fossils. Plate tectonics and evolution are two unifying theories covered in the semester. This course integrates labs, lectures, discussion groups, and a field trip to the Grand Canyon NP.
GEOL 310T- California Geology
